A five-minute tour

Applies to nori 0.6 on Android. The other clients have the same pages in their own layout.

  1. Home shows your shelves: recently played, newest and most played albums, top songs, random albums, favorites and the playlists you pinned. Which rows show, and in what order, is yours to choose in Settings.
  2. Library lists albums, artists, songs, playlists, genres, favorites, years, folders, radio and downloads.
  3. Search answers as you type, from an index kept on the phone, and adds the server’s results when you pause. See Library and search.
  4. An album page opens with its cover across the top, melting into a color taken from it. Play and Shuffle sit under the title; each song has a menu, and a swipe on a row queues it or makes it a favorite.
  5. The player opens from the bar at the bottom. Swipe the cover to skip, down to close. From there, open the lyrics, the queue, or the output button to choose where the music plays.
  6. Settings has a search field: type what you are after, such as “gapless” or “lyrics”.

Next: learn the queue, or set up the equalizer.
